12th day of Ramadhan

Dear Friends!!!
Since the month of RAmadhan is going on, So most of you would like to know about it...
(Thank God !! I remember my duty...or mujhe jaldi yaad aagaya ke mujhe is baare mein kuch likhna chahiye...:))

What is Ramadhan and what it means to muslims???

Every Momin(Muslim with Taqwa) love this month very much.
It is the month where people are just Happy and celebrate, where the people try to be more giving...
People fast only for the God, and don't feel that they are forced to fast and suffer in hunger and thrust...
Thrust, hunger and bit weakness help us to control ourselves and our desire. It helps in measuring our will power, makes us to think how much time we have, and how much we can do.
You know after breaking teh fast we can really realize that how much we r blessed to have deliciuos meal ready in front of us for iftaar(Time of braeking the Fast)
I yearn to be there at my home during these days...wish to have iftaar with our beloved ones ...Time of Maghrib...reading Quraan loudly...having bet with younger brothers to complete reading of "Hply Quran" more number of times during this month...Adhaan...dasterkhwaan decorated with large number of delicious dishes, fruits and sweets...after Iftar Tea...quarrel with Sameena(my younger sis.) for washing dishes and glasses...Traweeh(Special kind of namaz performed only in this month)...preparation of Eid...n all...I am missing alot...Becoz...
I am here in Mumbai...living in the hostel...working in the office n lab...doing iftar and saher alone in my room...Sweet home i'm missing u badly during these days...
But never mind i am going there very soon :)...Meaning at the end of this month for Eid :):)...

Leave it !!! I am talking about the significance of Ramadhan, So this month is renewal of person's faith. It is time for muslims to be better, to do good things...preserve one self from bad habits, time to give the zakat...I will tell u the meaning of zakat...
In this month the rich and well earning people have to give 2.5% of their total wealth to poor and needy people. You can guess how good the rules are...
And yeah. after helping the poors u can fell the intense happiness and satisfaction...
Truely speaking this month actually purifies the our body and soul, as every body tries to avoid the bad and dirty habits, even they don't even think of that...

And at the end of it Allah give the Reward in the form of "Eid"---The day of Joy and Happiness....

  2. Nice to read the information. Good efforts..keep it up.

    Just two points.

    1. Momin (Muslim with Tqwa?) is a person who beleives in the Almighty, The Creator with understanding and accept Him from His/Her heart. A muslim is the one who submits to the commands of The Creator (He may not have the complete understanding and grasp of The Creator but still could be performing all his duties as per the norms conveyed to him by the Prophets.

    2. This month is not to revive the faith (Aqeeda) but to practice the commands as much as possible OR practice of submission of our wills to The Creator.

    Jazakallah

  3. Taqwa:

Taqwa means keeping yourself away (due to fear of The Creator) from whatever is prohibited and doing good whatever has been asked to do. So if you believe in The Creator (Almighty and His powers) then you will have a Taqwa i.e you will keep yourself away from prohibited things even when no one (except The Creator) is watching you.....and will do good things for His sake only.

  4. Eid is not the reward for people who observed fast. It is Eid-ul-fitr meaning the Eid of Fitr. Fitr means distributing things (foodgrains, clothes..ect) to needy. So this is the happy times for the needy. It can be a happy affairs for those who have observed fast for the reason of thanks-giving to Allah as they could complete the month as per Quranic guidance.Otherwise, for the Muslim/Momin the entire month is the time for joy. He should be sad once Ramzaan departs, as this is the month of forgiveness, offers and Rahmat....and on the day of Eid it ends.

So basically Eid is not a festival but for the needy and poor.

The significance of Ramzaan is entirely due the the Quran. This month is for reading, reciting and practicing the Quran (commandments of The Creator). We observe fast and stops all the acts which Allah does not like, we even stop eating and drinking to show our submission to His commands. All His commands, guidance and directions are stored in Quran. So in this month we get connected to Quran and refresh our entire system such that it becomes according to Quran only. And this is also a practicing session for us so that we could live a similar life in rest of the year.
